A strand of 5 gorgeous old Clay Spindle beads from Mali strung on cord. These beads have a variety of geometric designs. The beads range from 23 mm in diameter. They are very special beads. You will receive a strand similar to one in the photos.. Originally these Spindles were actually made to spin cotton but then people started collecting them because they were so beautiful. They became rare .. so some enterprising people started making new ones but more as the beads they are today… They are so beautiful and evoke the country, Africa just by handling them and by the fact they are made from Africa's earth.

A small round disk shaped Clay Bead from Mali with engraved designs dusted with white 20 mm in diameter x 11 mm thick. These beads were bought in the Koforidua Beads Market in Ghana, W. Africa. -
2 sizes of a gorgeous old clay disk bead with a carved circle designs that are brushed with a brick colour...The large disk is about 32 x 17 mm and the medium one is about 29 x 11 mm ... i just love this bead! This is one of those beads that would look so great just as a handful in a bowl... Please note that these beads were handmade so each bead varies. You will receive a bead that is similar to the ones in the photo. Gorgeous large grey with white designs clay bead from Mali about 25 mm in diameter. The bead is dusted with a white powder that settles into the engraved design. You can brush off the excess powder with a soft cloth. If you actually wash the bead it will change the look quite a bit, the grey is quite dark and the white powder can wash away just staying in the designs. Fun addition to any earthy project! -
